Joe started his musical life at 15 as a bassist, singer and songwriter in a Punk band where he also learned to be a multi-instrumentalist. After a few months this led him to pursuing a recording studio production career.
Joe obtaining his double A-Level in Music and he went straight on to Brighton University where he successfully obtained a Foundation Degree in Music Production – whilst working and learning under Engineer/Producer Julian Tardo of Church Road Studios.
Joe can also be found working with artists across the country for various releases and has been a guest musician on some releases too.
Paul sold his first computer arcade game to Alan Sugar age 16. At the age of 17, he began to learn how to play a range of electronic and percussive instruments and soon became a drummer in an established local band. His passion for music led to an introduction to production at the tender age of 19 and he now boasts over 27 years experience in this field.
Since opening Audio Sorcery in 1999, Paul has worked with many musicians and bands, including a number of international repute such as The Anti Nowhere League, Tom palmer, Mitch Mitchell, David Essex and Roger Daltrey. He has composed musical scores used in Television and Film, working with the BBC and various major advertising agencies including BBH. He is also working extensively with Big Finish Productions recording fully casted audio book dramas. These include Dr Who (starring Doctor number 4 the legendary Tom Baker), Blake’s 7 (starring Paul Darrow and Michael Keating), Sherlock Holmes (starring Nicholas Briggs and Richard Earl) and The Avengers – Steel and Mrs Peel (starring Julian Wadham and Olivia Poulet).
Rob started his musical career primarily as a player working in all musical genres and being taught by some world class musicians. Having been given a head-start post graduation, Rob has branched out into musical technology. Starting his music technology career as a mobile sound recording engineer, Rob has worked in many places you would not even think of sticking mics. Moving from that area into studio work, Rob has practised studio techniques since 2011 and has a ever thickening portfolio.
Now Rob has been working for Giftdaze for 2+ years and has a developed manner behind the sound desk. Singers and players are put at ease quickly and gently in order to get the best performances and the most enjoyment. The testimonials speak volumes about his manner so don’t worry about making a fool of yourself in front of this producer.
His other job is as a music teacher teaching children 7+ years all the way to 70. Current musical project include Ambient music, Modern Popular music, Modern Jazz and Conceptual Prog Rock.
Having spent his whole working life in musical performance and production, Rob is up-to-date with the latest and earlier recording techniques.
Carol comes from a very different background – with a focus on events, tourism and hospitality. Her previous roles have included Sales, Marketing and Public/Media Relations. Carol’s professional experience and skills-set has given Gift Daze & Audio Sorcery a professional edge and competitive advantage.
Carol was personally responsible for the successful launch in 1999 of Gift Daze Recording Studio experiences and co-ordinates marketing, media training and team building events.
When Carol isn’t tinkering into the marketing depths of Audio Sorcery, she runs her video production company Cut Above Productions.
